Remember the old adage"Necessity is the Mother of Invention"? That is what initially inspired Jule MacGregor, owner and designer of Pillowtalk.net®, in her desire to create more comfort for herself while dealing with countless injuries from accidents incurred over four decades.
After attending her first Tantra Yoga Class in 1996, she realized that her passion in life was to teach and share this knowledge. She immersed herself into learning as much as possible about the beginning Principles of Tantra, and began to see the importance of her own comfort and well-being to successfully conveying to others the ways of Tantra.
Jule was eager to jump right into teaching, but knew that she needed little “assistants” to support her while recovering from her own injuries. Lack of strength and stiffness were the biggest motivators of her pursuing her line of ergonomic cushions. Drawing on her training and background in massage therapy, movement coaching and ergonomics, she began to create cushions in the perfect shapes and sizes to address her own needs for comfort and support. She began to share the cushions with her clients and found that they benefited as well.
Armed with positive feedback from clients, colleagues, family and friends, she began to hone the cushion shapes and features. One thing led to another, and Pillowtalk.net® was born. in addition to Tantra, Pillowtalk.net® cushions are also used for for White Yoga, exercise, meditation, travel, pregnancy, sleep, bodywork, and to modify just about any seat. Their possibilities are endless!

How does Pillowtalk.net® support saving the environment?
We are doing as much as we can to 'go green'. Our cushions' outer covers are made of 100% organic cotton. The Natural color is untreated, so no dyes are used. Our Olive color is obtained using a low-impact dye. Unlike dyes used in commercial textile facilities, low-impact dyes use less water and therefore generate much less wastewater runoff and possible contamination to the water supply. Our foam inserts are CFC-free, and we are very excited that soon new laws will be in effect for urethane foam to be made without the current carcinogen-causing fire retardants.
Where are your products made?
All of our products are sweatshop-free, made right here in the U.S.A. We support our local economy by having our products cut and sewn by small businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area. By keeping our processes in the U.S., we are continuing to support our values of 'going green', thus protecting the environment, and keeping jobs in the U.S.
What are PillowTalk.net®'s plan for a 'greener' future?
We are continually researching new sources for urethane foam as well as biodegradable material for our vinyl bags, eco-friendly dyes, manufacturers that support a 'green' agenda, etc. If you have any resources or ideas, feel free to email us at email@example.com.
